Ray Harryhausen's Ymir from 20 Million Miles to Earth(1957) [link]

I love this movie <3 One thing that's cool about it is that Ymir is portrayed as frightened and confused creature just trying to defend himself and later becomes aggressive do to constantly being attacked by people. So not just a rampaging, bloodthirsty monster.
Ymir is pronounced "Ee-mer" by the way.

Ymir belongs yo Harryhausen Colombia Pictures

love the redesign. absolutely breathtaking. would like to see a full body pic too. great job. excellent detail. like how you kept original details on the face but changed enough to make it original.

I've never actually even heard of this film, or even heard of the character. But this is wonderfully done! :D

I love Ray Harryhausen, my dad raised me on all the old classics, and while the animation today is nice there is something special about the old ones, more heart I think. You did a awesome job with Ymir's look, he was always one of my favorite 'monsters' for the very same reasons you stated. Keep up the awesome work!

:highfive:

Thats really get that you have been introduced to those kinda films. My parents, when i was little, showed me a lot of older films mainly for the creatures and dinosaurs which i was in to.
Stop-motion is always so interesting. Especially since its not so much done anymore (well like it used to be) It's still so good!

Even if I think that dinosuars or dinosaur-like monsters, look odd with ears ^^;.

It's an oldie. Thanks a lot!

It's not so much that, its just i'm bothered by how external ears look on saurian/reptilian beasties. Like "HEY, THAT DOESN'T GO THERE!" But sometimes thy look just fine.
